Job Description

The ELLKAY Marketing team is seeking a Marketing Associate, Events to assist with the planning and execution of marketing activities. The ideal candidate is a highly-organized self-starter with extraordinary attention to detail. Candidate must have strong organizational and project management skills and be a creative thinker. This individual will serve as support for multiple marketing teammates and coordinate with Sales teams and outside vendors; must be an excellent communicator, and must work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in a quickly growing company

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of any marketing activities as needed
  • Support Events Manager to develop, manage, and execute processes related to event management and help ensure timely planning, communication, and execution of all ELLKAY sponsored events.
  • Keep highly organized log of timelines, deliverables, costs, and logistics for team review.
  • Communicate with vendors associated with event planning and execution.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to track events, deadlines, and deliverables. Follow up with various personnel as necessary to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Serve as primary coordinator and ensure proper entry for all event activities on project management tool.
  • Assist with event logistics including hotel booking, event registration, and show orders; help drive team deadlines for various event-related deliverables (ad space, bag inserts, etc.).
  • Track marketing expense reports for events and related marketing efforts.
  • Search for new ways to increase ELLKAY’s brand awareness. Ideate on new ways to improve leads gathered.
  • Facilitate logistics on guest travel and sales team related travel deemed appropriate
  • Monitor competitors’ marketing activities
  • Research new relevant events in the industry and provide reports on cost, ROI, footprint, audience, etc.,
  • Support marketing executives in organizing various projects
  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of an organization and external contacts, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities with skill in ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands.
  • Ability to lift approximately 20-25 lbs.
  • Up to 20% travel time required.
  • On call beyond work day hours as needed during marketing events.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  •  At least two years of administrative support experience required, preferably in a marketing environment.
  • At least two years promotional and/or corporate event experience with managing and executing events
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry desired.
  • Familiarity with IT industry a plus.

This is a full-time position for our HQ located in Elmwood Park, NJ. Remote work is available within the US.
