Experian are pleased to announce a unique and exciting new opportunity for a Senior Pricing Manager to join our UK&I Strategic Pricing team! Our Strategic Pricing team has historically been focussed on supporting large complex deals, helping to define the optimal price and ensure maximal profitability whilst meeting the client’s needs.

In addition to this, the team is transitioning to focus on the development and in-life management of value-based product pricing to help accelerate revenue and margin growth; as well as supporting wider transformation projects to improve and streamline the selling and back office operational practices to enable accelerated future growth.

  • Provide tactical price guidance for large / complex customer proposals and support the RFP / Bid process
  • Lead and manage the creation and regular maintenance of product pricing strategies, price books and pricing execution across our portfolio of products
  • Work with product teams to understand the product roadmap and influence/help to establish new value-based pricing strategies aligned with the customer value proposition
  • Performing your own analysis using both measurable data and anecdotal evidence, make, defend and lead the implementation of recommendations for change and improvement
  • Influence the development of user centric and automated pricing tools
  • Support the company wide transformation towards subscription pricing where appropriate

As such the ideal candidate must be able to take a hands-on approach to the responsibilities of multiple roles and operate across multiple different contexts, from advising on individual tactical deal constructs to influencing wider business strategies. The day-to-day role will often involve close collaboration with teams across Product & Solutions, Marketing, Sales, Finance, IT & Business Operations, Contracting and Commercial as well as presenting to senior leadership and the executive team. Often these teams will have competing priorities, so the candidate will need to influence and manage different expectations across different levels of seniority.

The Strategic Pricing Manager will grow with the role as the team transitions from being primarily tactical advisors to primarily strategic partners.

  • Demonstrable experience of influencing and working cross functionally
  • Experience of value-based pricing and developing standardised pricing processes
  • Demonstrable commitment to deliver results in a project-based environment
  • Experience pricing data and software products in a B2B environment desirable
  • High degree of business acumen; understands key business, financial, commercial drivers
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately often to tight deadlines set by customers
  • Ability to influence and communicate at multiple levels of seniority & quickly gain credibility
