QA Automation with Cloud Experience

• Work closely with the Engineers, Customer Success and Product Innovation  Partner
• Development to understand technical and service requirements, customer expectations and quality metrics to close the testing gap and customise QA solutions that are fit-for-purpose;
• Work closely with Director, Engineering Operations, Customer Success and Product Innovation Partner Development to ensure the release process covers all stakeholder requirements;
• Backfill across the Engineering Operations, Product Innovation Partner Development and Customer Success functions as needed, providing QA guidance, technical and customer support to maintain the operational effectiveness of atmails product line and cloud environments during sprints, development and deployment peak periods;
• Define QA testing infrastructure and methodology, design and implement QA testing paradigm, methods and processes to enable the engineers, and provide advice and guidance on QA practices and procedures to lift the teams overarching QA capability and improve performance metrics;
• Build and maintain close working relationships with Product Innovation & Partner Development and Customer Success teams to streamline and automate effective and fit-for-purpose QA and Release Management processes;
• Contribute to improving overall QA infrastructure, processes and automation initiatives, providing feedback to the Director, Engineering Operations and key leaders regarding impacts and opportunities;
• Participate in project and sprint activities, managing work priorities and maintaining open communication channels to manage expectations and keep internal stakeholders informed;
• Responsible for security audits (automated and manual) for cloud services and software development
• Be eyes and ears of atmail, flag and report any problems or issues that may be identified, even if outside area of responsibility, to enable a proactive approach to be taken by the business;
• Escalate complex and sensitive matters to the Director, Engineering Operations, bringing ideas and solutions to the table as part of the resolution process;
• Work within all legal and ethical boundaries that are either enforceable by law or that would be expected by atmail staff, company policy or the wider community; and
• Ensure the successful outcomes for atmail and maintain a commitment to atmail’s longevity by undertaking any other duties within the scope of your skills, competence and training as directed from time to time.

• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in hands-on technical roles (software quality assurance, testing, software engineering, DevOps or similar);
• A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in Automation testing.
•  Proven capability to provide mentoring, training, advice and guidance to engineers;
• Experience working within Agile, Lean, Prince2 or PMBOK project management organisations;
• Proven track record in initiating and leading quality assurance and software testing initiatives;
• Demonstrable broad industry knowledge and experience as it relates to quality assurance, software testing and associated trends;
• Strong experience with QA and build / release tooling infrastructures and frameworks such as Jenkins, Cypress, Selenium, Unit test frameworks in various languages (Jasmine, PHPUnit), Cucumber (or similar BDD tools);
• Strong scripting, programming and/or system administration experience with demonstrable competence in modern web frameworks and/or server-side high performance languages (ReactJS, Go, PHP, Python, C/C++, etc.);
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of an agile team environment with strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Demonstrable broad industry knowledge and experience as it relates to “as a Service” architectures and associated trends;
• Shows a high level of initiative, is proactive, leads by example;
• Demonstrated experience in a customer facing role (both internal & external);
• Experience working with global teams across different time zones;
• Experience developing for continuous integration, delivery and deployment;
• Experience developing effective platform monitoring and alerting;
• Demonstrated strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify improvements, determine priorities, multi-task and effectively and efficiently meet strict deadlines; and 
• A Bachelor (or higher) degree in a technology field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience in developing and configuring email server technologies;
• Experience designing and developing solutions within cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure);
• Demonstrable database management and administration capabilities; and
• Demonstrable “cloud-first” mindset aligned with designing and developing large-scale, highly available and cost-efficient systems; 

Working Schedule

• Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Manila Time
