Workit Spaces is a fast-growing Australian startup – we’re building innovative ecosystems that power the booming eCommerce industry. To deliver on our mission, we provide eCommerce and Coworking Hubs and this year are launching Australia’s leading order fulfilment SaaS platform and fulfilment network: SKUtopia.
SKUtopia is a cloud-based software solution allowing eCommerce businesses to manage orders across multiple storefronts, as well as inventory, shipping, and warehousing all in one platform. On top of this, we’ll provide highly robotised 3PL services, which will use SKUtopia with our in-house leading computer vision and AI technology for fast delivery, quality control, and accuracy.
Our head office is in Sydney but we have team members across Australia and are happy for you to work remotely.
About the role
Put simply, you’ll be our go-to person for applying Agile methodologies to produce high-quality work. You’ll be responsible for managing timelines, resolving problems and coaching team members on Agile methodologies.
Ultimately, you’ll help create self-organizing teams that are flexible, happy and fully productive during sprints.
You’ll need to have excellent knowledge of the Scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques. You’ll also need the ability to coordinate people and projects (occasionally facilitating changes) with a clear focus on deliverables. If you’re a strong communicator, a capable leader and you’re invested in Agile frameworks, looking for a role where you can have a real impact then we would love to meet you.
Why do we think this is a great opportunity?
You’ll be joining a team with a strong culture and focus on building a great product (we aren’t interested in politics and big egos!). We firmly believe in the importance of creating an environment where people can do their best work, and understand the value that this role will bring to the team. With the growth we have forecast for the next 12 months, there will be significant opportunities - there are lots of paths open to you and we’re excited to explore them all as we grow.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Managing each project’s scope and timelines (including tracking velocity, reporting on metrics, and helping to predict delivery)
Coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
Coaching team members in Agile frameworks
Facilitating internal communication and effective collaboration
Working with the Product team to handle backlogs and new requests
Resolving conflicts and removing obstacles that occur
Helping teams implement changes effectively
Ensuring deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
Guiding development teams to higher scrum maturity
Helping to build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
About you

Experience in a Scrum Master or Iteration Manager role
Experience of working in a startup environment
Familiarity with software development
Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
Outstanding organizational skills
Experience in working with remote teams
Scrum Master certification is a plus, but not a requirement
