Job Description

What we’re looking for:

The Informa Markets - Engineering group is seeking an experienced marketing professional to help drive results and revenue for an established B2B media portfolio serving engineers and manufacturing professionals across six brands. The ideal candidate is a motivated marketer able to hit the ground running on the development, execution, tracking, and reporting of a variety of client- and audience-facing multichannel campaigns. Reporting into the VP, Content & Strategy, the Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the editorial, sales, sales support, creative, marketing services, and custom product teams to achieve objectives.

You are accountable for:

  • Crafting compelling copy optimized for each channel that resonates with our communities and clients alike and drives conversion and measurable results in line with business objectives

  • Planning and executing on a variety of audience-facing campaigns, including promotion for a high volume of marketing service lead-gen products for clients; brand- and product-focused awareness campaigns; and promo of an annual awards program

  • Developing and executing on sales marketing plans in line with business objectives that drive leads, conversion, and, in turn, revenue growth

  • Focusing on new business/prospect lead-generation campaigns, nurture campaigns, and client engagement & retention campaigns

  •  Evaluating and testing lead nurture pathways within Eloqua, and continuously researching lead nurture best practices to improve results

  • Examining marketing spend to revenue ratio and sales engagement with content and collateral to drive continuous improvement and growth opportunities for sales marketing

  • Tracking, measuring, and analyzing marketing initiatives and campaign performance to evaluate success, create benchmarks, and inform tactics for continuous improvement of marketing activities

  • Collaborating closely with sales, editorial, and creative to produce professional and effective marketing collateral, including media kits, PPT decks, one sheets, promos, infographics, etc.

  • Managing house ad program booking and creation

  • Overseeing efforts to obtain valuable customer and audience insights to inform business tactics and strategy

  • Increasing market visibility, branding, and awareness, including oversight of internal and external live & virtual event participation

  •  Adhering to the media marketing budget

  • Completing other ad hoc marketing assignments, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience
     
  • At least 3-4 years professional experience in marketing at a coordinator level or higher. The ideal candidate has B2B media marketing experience
     
  • Proven success in managing multichannel marketing campaigns that achieved revenue and strategic goals
     
  • Proven copywriting chops marked by the ability to produce engaging and effective messaging that yields measurable results. Note that this is a copywriting-heavy position
     
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Art/graphic design skills a big plus
     
  • Experience working in a marketing automation system (Eloqua highly preferred, but Pardot or others ok)
     
  • Knowledge of Adobe or Google Analytics and social marketing desirable
     
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Wrike, WorkZone, etc. a plus.
     
  • Focus on targets, goals, details, and deadlines
     
  • Masterful multitasking abilities
     
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to reprioritize tasks and workload based on shifting business needs
     
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with a variety of functional roles and teams
     
  •  Some travel required
