Job Description

We are seeking a Team Lead for one of our implementation teams, supporting patient eligibility inquiries. We match our clients’ patients to the proper insurance plan as defined by our clients’ business practices and information systems. The team is responsible for both implementation and ongoing client support.

This position will involve intimate knowledge and analysis of Healthcare eligibility benefit data and is a technical leadership position within our organization requiring leadership and mentorship of other team members.

The incumbent will manage Implementation projects by tracking specifications and delivery dates and ensure operational implementation.

  • Triage issues from Implementation and Support and assign to team members.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the team.
  • Lead daily scrum calls and assist with impediments.
  • Motivate and direct the team to achieve individual and organizational goals.
  • Work alongside the team to complete new implementations and support our clients.
  • Assist with hiring and training team members.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal relationships with Customer Support and Implementation teams.
  • Maintain and strengthen external relationships with clients to understand needs, requirements, demands, and issues. 
  • Effectively communicate with clients on issue resolution activities and alternatives.
  • Manage escalated client issues, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively look for possible issues or improvements with client configurations

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or other related field preferred
  • At least 5 years prior business analyst, implementation, or client/payer-side (payer or hospital/health system) experience in healthcare revenue cycle management software and technology
  • Minimum 1-3 years supervisory and mentoring experience
  • Experience leading cross functional teams in complex delivery environments.

Special Skills & Knowledge:

  • Healthcare eligibility benefits experience (hospital and physician) required
  • Understanding of HL7 and X12 message/file formats and transactions required
  • Familiarity with Boolean logical expressions preferred
  • Experience utilizing and reporting from Jira and Salesforce
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective in communication and relationship building
  • Strong Project Management, organizational and leadership skills
