Job Description

Findaway’s Audioworks collaborates with global audiobook publishers, industry-leading narrators, and professional audiobook editors and engineers to create high-quality audiobooks. 

We are looking for a temporary Casting Director. As Casting Director, you will work closely with the Producers to ensure the timeliness and quality of all productions.  You are invested in each production's success by overseeing it from the audition phase through the delivery of a professional-quality audiobook, working with a range of internal teams and external contractors along the way.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Match potential audiobook narrators with requested narrator preference 
  • Write performance guides for performers of each audiobook based on understanding of manuscript and publisher expectations
  • Avoid (or resolve) situations that put production timing at risk with clear communication and proactive production management
  • Finalize production details with all parties and generate contracts for each audiobook using provided template.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of performance elements, as it relates to audiobook narration
  • Experience in audiobook production space specifically with casting (0-2 years)
  • Aware of and conscious of diversity and inclusion, gender identity as it relates to casting
  • Excellent email communication demeanor, business writing skills and English grammar
  • Project management skills, specifically scheduling and attention to detail
  • College Degree

Preferences

  • Familiar with audiobook recording
  • Self-managed / self-sufficient
  • Experience in similar project management or customer service role

Additional Information

Primarily standard office hours (8:30am - 5:30pm), with occasional after hour email responsibilities in order to meet deadlines.
