Job Description

The Global Supply Manager (GSM) team at Square supports the Hardware organization. We provide strategic sourcing of component supply for all of Square’s hardware programs. We are involved from the concept phase all the way through the end of life of our products. 

As a Global Supply Analyst, you will collaborate with our procurement commodity managers on a daily basis. We are looking to build, automate, and own key data metrics that support supplier relationships, spend accuracy, and further commodity strategy evolution resulting in a stable and sustainable supply chain. You will have the opportunity to put product development and sustaining hardware operations front and center in contributing to the company's mission of economic empowerment for small businesses around the world. You will report to the Lead of Global Supply Management.

You Will:

  • Provide analytical and project management support to create a reliable supplier network  

  • Compile data to lower sourcing risk, provide cost structure certainty, and improved searchable efficiency in our databases.

  • Utilize project management skills to chart new territory and present to the broader GSM 

  • Gather and organize data (including trends) to empower the GSM team with tools 

  • Send monthly forecasts to suppliers and manage GSM spend files

  • Travel ~5%, mostly international

Qualifications

You Have:

  •  4+ years of experience in working with supply chains, BOMs (Bill of Materials), component costs, the use of BOM management systems like Arena PLM

  • Experience working with and maintaining databases in Excel, Sheets, Hyperion, Looker, Snowflake (or similar systems).

  • Examples providing structure to ambiguous sets of data

  • Semiconductor experience preferred
