The Opportunity

Crown has an opportunity for an experienced Manager of Content & Editorial to own content and copy development across all Crown touchpoints including website content, social content, blog posts, marketing materials, and SEO. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Manager of Content & Editorial is responsible for developing editorial content that brings awareness to Crown’s story and mission. This role will work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders to drive brand awareness and audience engagement.

What You Will Do

• Write and edit copy against tight deadlines through the use of superb research skills and creation of compelling and highly accessible writing

• Ensure that content combines captivating storytelling with the purpose to both educate and persuade

• Integrate Crown’s brand voice into all branded materials across the organization, ensuring consistency across the website, social, blog, marketing materials, products, etc.

• Lead content development in alignment with content strategy

• Manage content calendar to support Crown initiatives such as ongoing brand and educational storytelling, company news, key hires, partnerships, product launches, current events and other communication needs

• Write, edit, optimize, and publish on-site blog articles that support the development of Crown’s brand recognition as a trusted thought leader in the smart glass space; ensure content is optimized for activation across relevant channels

• Demonstrate continual efforts to improve quality and consistency

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or Journalism preferred

• 5+ years in editorial content management roles

• Exceptional writing and editing skills; ability to distill complex concepts into simple messages

• Experience producing multi-channel content (e.g., website, social, blog, and marketing materials)

• Experience establishing and managing content development workflows

• Ability to work independently and be self-directed while collaborating with other team members

• An understanding of both SEO and organic social best practices

• Flexibility and agility in a dynamic startup or high-growth environment

• A strong passion for sustainability, clean tech, prop tech, etc.
