We have a exciting opportunity for a Team Leader health & Wellness Programs to join our team in 2021!

Reporting to the Business Manager of our Health and Wellness Team, you will assist with the development and implementation of programs to enrich the lives of our clients.

Following the Catholic Healthcare Community Services Health & Wellness Program guidelines to develop and facilitate engaging classes including arts and crafts, games etc. You will understand the importance of respect, trust and empathy and have the skills to communicate effectively and motivate our clients to live a healthy and active lifestyle, assisting them to live their best life.

Job Description

  • Based in Warnervale NSW
  • Permanent Part time Position – 25 hours per week
  • 9am – 2pm Monday - Friday

Exciting opportunity for a motivated carer who is passionate about promoting health and well being, to engage with a wide variety of community groups and build strong networks whilst creating innovative and meaningful activities. Your well developed communication skills and zest for life, will assist you to maximise participation and engagement of our Aged care clients. 

Reporting to the Business Manager H&W Programs, you will assist with the development and implementation of programs and activities to enrich the lives of our clients attending our Wellness Centre and other programs in all regions.

To be successful for the role you will have:

  • Certificate 111 in Aged Care, Certificate IV preferred. Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure.
  • Previous experience working within an aged care environment
  • A high degree of computer competency with a range of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting and engaging people living with frailty and or dementia
  • Able to demonstrate previous leadership experience
  • Experience in planning, coordinating and evaluating lifestyle and wellness programs
  • Knowledge of how to conduct lifestyle assessments and Care Plans 
  • A strong work ethic along with a sense of fun
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Proof of Current Flu  and COVID Vax
  • Current drivers licence
