Java Developer

Infina is seeking a highly motivated Java Developer with back-end development experience and possesses strong math and communications skills. This individual will perform development in Java and should have Linux and Oracle database experience.

Duties/Responsibilities                              

• Work collaboratively with team to receive and respond to project requests
• Design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems
• Creatively and efficiently design applications and software solutions to meet customer requirements
• Utilize industry-standard testing methods to troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software
• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
• Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects
• Work with different teams and departments to ensure code quality
• Create reports and present development updates to teams and stakeholders
• Customize existing code to ensure efficiency and functionality

•  Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least eight (8) years of experience in software development
• Demonstrated expertise in Java
• A proficiency with Linux and Shell Scripting
• Strong foundation in mathematics, data science, A/I, modeling, machine learning and software programming
• Knowledge of Oracle Databases and SQL
• Experience with utilization of DevOps Tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with development and deployment to Cloud Services (AWS) infrastructure utilizing those services (I.e. VPCs, MKS(Kafka), S3, Elastic Stack/Search, Kibana, etc.)
• Trajectory processing utilizing surveillance sources and other data; FAA experience preferred (e.g. NOP, SWIM, ASDE, ASSC)
• Experience with integration with large scale enterprise services (PaaS/DaaS)
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git and BitBucket
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Must be a permanent US resident (Green Card Holder) or US Citizen
