Informa Markets are looking to bring on a technically minded individual, who is interested in combining the analytical intelligence from data and developing technical solutions to problems in data systems. The two key applications are Planning Analytics (TM1) and PowerBI (Visualizations).
With a background in project work, they will be able to demonstrate the ability to meeting tight deadlines with system familiarity and ideally would have a computer science or mathematics qualification/background. They will be comfortable in both running their own projects and working alongside experienced developers on larger projects.
What you’ll be doing:
The Finance System Developer is responsible for developing and supporting the core finance applications, TM1 and Power BI applications. The developer needs to meet the agreed-upon service levels for all TM1 and PBI applications within their remit. This includes supporting day-to-day operations, as well as, medium and long-term development in support of business needs and strategy.

Supporting technical development initiatives including cost management, revenue growth strategies, profitability analysis, etc.
Understanding these initiatives and how they feed into forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities
Challenges current processes and ways of working, striving for an optimal level of output that delivers on requirements in a timely fashion
Engaging with key stakeholders and relaying information in a way that is easy to understand and provides commercial (not just process orientated) insights
As part of a team, triaging systems issues and championing end user engagement in the tools used to report and manage the business
