Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new “Connect” platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ’s data and insights to innovate and grow.

As a Senior Engineer - Identity Integration Architect you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now our platform is based in Okta, Linux. Our team is co-located and agile, with central technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Toronto and Chennai.

What you’ll do

  • Knowledge of operations within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) environment including application patching and upgrades and certificate management

  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all IAM customers

  • Web Access Management (CA SiteMinder, Oracle Access Manager, Okta)

  • Understand and refine a Role-Based Security framework. Produce designs and operational plans to enforce and maintain identity management workflows

  • Participate in the development of roadmaps and participate in the standards process for IAM solutions

  • Promote effective teamwork, mentor team members and stakeholders

  • Effectively contribute and follow strategy and roadmap implementation for Identity and Access Management Platform Tools

  • Manage identity and access management support to business and technical teams in the design of standardized products and customized solutions

  • Hands-on architect and developer of a comprehensive IAM system that addresses the challenges of a very complex development and production environment

  • Work with the project teams on implementing the defined authentication and authorization service policies for each business application solution

  • Work with Security & Architecture teams, system owners, and other IAM colleagues to address process, policy, audit and regulatory related issues

We’re looking for people who have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; 

  • Be able to work with application teams and assist in implementing and tuning authentication and authorization services that are reliable, available and performing

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills 

  • Associated technologies such as: Linux Server, Active Directory

  • Knowledge of CA Siteminder, Unix (Solaris, RHEL, or CentOS) 

  • Solid knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenId Connect Specifications

  • Experience supporting App-Dev teams in leveraging OAuth 2.0 and OpenId Connect

  • Working with third parties to establish SAML 2.0 connections

  • Solid knowledge related to administration and support of SAML Federation 

  • Knowledge using Curl or PostMan to make REST API calls

  • Experience using JSON

  • Okta Administration. Group Admin, Application Admin, Super Admin

  • Understand the business requirements of clients through engagement meetings 

  • Evaluate & propose the best SSO methodology to integrate client and business applications with the NielsenIQ portal applications

  • Integrate client applications using the proposed SSO methodology 

  • Administer & manage Okta organizations and settings 

  • Install and configure mod_auth_openidc on Apache Web Servers

  • Migrate the existing integrated applications from SiteMinder based integration to OIDC based integration with Okta & mod_auth_openidc

  • Migrate the existing integrated applications from PingFederate and SiteMinder based SAML SSO to Okta's SAML SSO

  • Manage IAM system upgrades as required for the IAM technical stack

  • Where necessary provide L3 support for incidents across all client portal environments
