In this role, you’ll design and develop software systems that support Upswell’s client projects, working primarily in Django, Wagtail, and Vue.js. You’ll build websites, web services, and tooling that power our interactive experiences and environments. Our ideal candidate can engineer front-end and back-end solutions, write production-quality code, and communicate with confidence. You embrace prototyping, iteration, and collaboration as a core aspect of development.

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-based software applications
• Write software for websites, applications, installations and project-support tooling
• Develop diagrams, signal flows, and written documentation that capture systems and processes
• Capture and manage requirements and tasks

• 4+ years Django/Python development experience with demonstrated knowledge of full development lifecycle from initiation to maintenance (required)
• 1+ years Wagtail development experience (required)
• 2+ years Javascript application development experience using a modern framework such as Vue.js (required)
• Demonstrated experience modeling and working with large data sets (required)
• Experience integrating backing services such as Elasticsearch and/or third-party SDK’s and RESTful API’s (required)
• Experience working with Docker and related container hosting services (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience configuring and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience configuring automation and/or continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Bash, Powershell, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Azure or similar
• Comfortable working with Linux and Powershell (bonus) to perform basic system admin functions (required)
• High-level of organization, code quality, and documentation (required)
• High-level of English proficiency and communication (required)

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday (7AM - 4PM; Manila Time)

• Permanent Homebased
