Our first consumer product, the PhotoRoom app, is already a leader in mobile photo editing: we serve 100M+ users across more than 180 countries monthly, and our app was named Editor’s Choice by Apple and Google. We launched our API in 2023 as well, allowing us to deploy our tech at scale through a B2B motion.
We are at an exciting stage of our journey, having successfully raised our Series A and looking to scale to $100M ARR in 2024.

TL;DR
🤓 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Frontend Engineer specializing in frontend architecture to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a scalable, high-performance web application that delivers exceptional user experiences. Your expertise in React.js, state management with MobX, and frontend performance optimization will be crucial in building applications that cater to millions of users.
💰 70k€-100k€* depending on experience + Stock-Options/BSPCE
🇪🇺 We are flexible: you can work from anywhere in Europe, come once a month to Paris (fully reimbursed), or visit the office more often.

✨ About the role ✨
- You will architect and develop a scalable and high-performing web application using React.js and TypeScript.
- You will effectively manage the application state, ensuring responsive and efficient user interfaces.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of frontend components with backend services.
- You will optimize web application performance, focusing on rendering speed and runtime efficiency.
- You will continuously stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, integrating them into our projects to drive innovation and excellence.
- You will work within a small multicultural team of ~50 passionate, friendly, and committed folks.
✨ About you ✨
- You have proven experience in architecting and developing large-scale web applications, like SaaS platforms, that have scaled to millions of users and/or 10s of developers.
- You have in-depth knowledge of React.js and a strong understanding of component-based architecture.
- Expertise in state management using MobX.
- Optional: You have hands-on experience with WebAssembly libraries and a deep understanding of their integration within web applications.
- Optional: You have proficiency in image manipulation using canvas and a keen eye for visual detail. Experience in WebGL is a plus.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- You are fluent in English (French is not required!)
