BillionToOne's first product, UNITY™ is the first and only non-invasive prenatal test that can directly screen an unborn baby and assess the risk for common and severe recessive gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities, as well as fetal sex and fetal antigens, from a single tube of blood from the pregnant mother without paternal testing.

In 2023, BillionToOne launched two liquid biopsy products that will markedly improve oncology treatment and care. With Northstar Select™, clinicians will be able to select cancer therapies that will be most effective to each patient based on their individual genetic makeup. Northstar Response™ will enable clinicians to monitor a patient’s early response to these cancer therapies, by measuring minute changes in their ctDNA, which can reduce ineffective treatments and unwanted toxicity, lower costs, and substantially improve clinical outcomes.

BillionToOne is growing 100%+ YoY and aiming for an IPO at multi-billion dollar market capitalization. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support the company’s hyper-growth and help prepare the company for a successful IPO. The CFO is a remote position and reports directly to our CEO. This position will require travel to our Menlo Park headquarters (once a month).

Responsibilities:

• Be a strong external executive signal for our future growth and IPO.
• Be a great presenter of our growth story & differentiation, in conferences (JPM etc), and IPO roadshow.
• Be an internal thought partner to the CEO for future growth planning.
• Further build out the finance team, systems & processes for IPO readiness.
• Hire and manage an IR firm and an IPO firm & lead S1 process.
• Work with the CEO & executive leadership team closely to ensure a successful IPO.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of relevant experience (either as a Finance Executive or as a Senior Analyst/Managing Director in diagnostics)
• Strong connections with Analysts and highly regarded by the Wall Street
• Strong technical understanding of molecular diagnostics & underlying technologies, especially in the cell-free DNA field
• Must be an expert-level presenter
• Preferred: CPA or CFA
• Preferred: Previously, #1 or #2 finance person in an IPO that was at >$1B+ market cap.

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based on experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave etc.).

For this position, we offer a compensation package of more than $1 million in total annual compensation, including a base salary of $300,000 per year.
