• Experienced in Cylindrical, Prismatic, Pouch cell form factor with knowledge of multiple cell chemistry
• Hands on experience in cell to module design and module to pack design using different form factor and cell chemistry
• Sound knowledge of Thermal Management for Battery Pack and design thermal system accordingly
• Review customer requirement and help team to interpret the requirement in to Mechanical Requirement and guide team for concept generation
• Interface between Design, Simulation, Electrical, Industrialization team and provide customer input
• Participate in design reviews as required – from concept phase through to release – contribute in identifying risks and outlining potential methods of implementation
• Good knowledge of GT&T and Tolerance Stackup.
• Knowledge in design and manufacturing of Plastic, Sheet Metal and Extrusion for battery pack components
• Knowledge of different manufacturing process (plastic, sheet metal)
• Knowledge of material selection for battery pack
• Good understanding of secondary process like plating, powder coating, etc
• Should be able to work on multiple projects, guide and mentor design engineer from technical aspect of the project
• Ability to use CAD software like Solid works
• Excellent leadership skills, stake holder management skills
• Strong in documentation and process

B.E in Mechanical Engineering

• Prior knowledge of handling Battery Pack Design components, electrical compoents, BMS topic is preferred
• Experience in systems / requirements engineering
• Good understanding of New Product Development Process
• Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customer
• Flexible, willing to travel and participate for customer, vendor interactions
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, innovative thinking
• Ability to work independently in an organized and structured fashion with strong analytical skills that supports a systematic approach to problem resolution and strong communication skills to discuss issues/challenges with global development teams and external customers
