Job Description

What we are looking for:

  • Informa Markets is seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager for its Farm Progress Agricultural Portfolio.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience, expertise and knowledge of creating innovative media packages for a defined set of clients.  The candidate should have sales experience and preferably a background knowledge of agriculture.  The candidate should be knowledgeable in all aspect of media—with a strong focus on digital, print and events.

You are accountable for:

  • To meet/exceed an annual sales goal and key KPI’s
  • Prospect, seek and generate new business opportunities within your assigned geography
  • Develop timely need-based proposals—incorporating all appropriate tools at your disposal
  • Keen understanding of all products within the portfolio—current and future
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive product innovation
  • Effective time, travel and expense management. 
  • Appropriate participation in conferences and events—both internal and external
  • Up to 40% travel 
  • Timely and accurate reporting of sales, activities and market knowledge

Qualifications

  • Ability to identify customer needs and match them with our expansive product portfolio
  • Strong digital insight and knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to collaborate with external partners
  • Proactive collaboration with others on the sales team as well as cross functional departments within Farm Progress and Informa
