Job Description

A day in the life at Wonderful:

At the Wonderful Company, we take an active role where we live and work in California's Central Valley by developing our communities, building world-class health and wellness systems for our employees, and providing education for our youth. Wonderful Education's core purpose is to provide the youth in San Joaquin Valley communities with experiences and opportunities that lead them to promising futures.

Our students are critical components and the perfect intersection of these three efforts because we don't believe in just today, but in building sustainable programs that will last tomorrow and evolve to become systemic over time -- and this future, this tomorrow, is where our youth can act as change agents to continue the work we have started.

Our goal is that all Scholars are supported during their time in the College Success Program and are successful in finding a career that they are passionate about post-graduation. We believe in a growth mindset and supporting scholars by helping to develop their own tools to succeed. Most importantly, we believe in helping a scholar holistically by helping them grow into well rounded independent young adults. We are seeking part-time tutors who share in this philosophy and will work with students primarily in a virtual group setting and with select students in a 1-1 virtual setting to assist them in achieving their academic goals and in their overall success. • Assist students with reviewing class material, understanding homework and assignments, formulating ideas for papers, and practice study skills.
  • Review papers, homework, and assignments for students and provide constructive feedback.
  • Track and manage student attendance for tutoring sessions and student progress. Report progress to the College Success team on a weekly basis.
  • Manage a flexible schedule to meet Scholar needs.
  • Conduct other administrative tasks, as necessary.
