Job Description

Informa Tech is seeking a Senior Editor to deliver highly engaging content for our ITPro Today media brand. A successful candidate will understand how to produce highly relevant content to our audience across a variety of channels and be able to think expansively on how to optimize for growth.

ITPro Today’s mission is to help IT organizations design, build, operate and maintain systems and applications that support and advance the goals of large enterprises, providing practical, unbiased information that IT professionals need to make technology work in real life. We view the IT landscape from the perspective of IT operations and management, covering topics such as DevOps, DevSecOps, ITOps, AIOps, CloudOps, DataOps and NoOps.

Our Senior Editor will:

* Manage content from a pool of writers covering specific technology beats.

* Recruit freelance writers.

* Assign and edit IT-centric content.

* Optimize content for search engine performance.  

* Participate in day-to-day operations of the website, which may include writing news and evergreen articles and moderating webinars and panel discussions.

* Work with internal stakeholders across research, events and media to support collaborative efforts and programs to drive growth for the entire Enterprise IT portfolio.

This position may be filled by a remote worker.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as an editor in the B2B IT media business
  • Understanding of IT professionals, IT departments and IT-centric technologies
  • Experience writing and editing news and evergreen content in a clear and engaging style
  • Experience moderating panel discussions
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Knowledge of website management tools and editorial workflows
  • Experience with the major social media platforms
  • Experience tailoring content to a target audience
  • Knowledge and application of SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with website analytics tools
  • Mastery of techniques to increase reader engagement
