Job Description

The Product Manager is a crucial role at Thinking Capital. We are looking for a strong product manager to support our team through the critical stages of rapidly growing our base of small business customers for our AR/AP payment and new products. You will work closely with our team of experienced software engineers to drive the evolution of Thinking Capital’s financial products and bring new SaaS offerings to market, including small business cash flow insights and payments offered on the Thinking Capital platform.

As a Product Manager at Thinking Capital, you will wear many hats, including product owner and project manager. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate our corporate OKRs and priorities into a product roadmap and work closely with the development teams to get it done. You should have a proven understanding of gathering and communicating business needs to development teams, with the context, detail, and guidance necessary to maximize their effectiveness.

What You Will Do:

  • Evangelize the AR/AP product vision, product roadmap constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going

  • Develop and manage your product roadmap, continuously articulating your rationale for prioritization and driving tough tradeoffs decisions to balance competing stakeholder interests

  • Act as the Product Owner for product-development activities, providing direction and making prioritization decisions

  • Constantly assess your product-market fit, using customer insights, competitive analysis, and your own industry knowledge to adapt to changing conditions and refine your approach

  • Represent the customer. Be the voice of the customer. Build impactful, lasting customer relationships. Bring the customer's voice into the product creation process

  • Actively assesses and prioritize unplanned issues, working closely with teammates and with stakeholders across the organization to understand the business impact, complexity, and priority

  • Work within our iterative product development process and take ownership to ensure delivery deadlines are met

  • Engage cross-functionally with marketing, sales, risk, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure flawless go-to-market execution of your initiatives

  • Foster an environment that promotes innovation. Think beyond what the customers are asking for and design what the customer hasn't even considered.

Qualifications

    What you Bring

    • 5 years or more of relevant and progressive experience in Product Management in financial services or in SaaS companies

    • Strategic and business-minded with a strong passion for helping customers, and providing solutions to their problems;

    • Excellent leading, influencing, and negotiation skills - strong ability to build consensus and get buy-in on product vision and direction, and orient teams to the actions required for success;

    • Excellent time management skills and highly organized with the ability to multitask, execute on short-term projects and manage ongoing long-term strategies;

    • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle a fast-paced work environment, new challenges, and changing priorities

    • Excellent interpersonal skills - you are able to build and scale stable relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders both internally, and externally with prospects and customers

    • The propensity to stay calm and reasonable under pressure, with sound judgment and decision-making abilities;

    • Team player with strong collaboration skills - you seek to understand, ask the right questions, communicate proactively and effectively on the goals and outcomes for an owned product, and involve the right people at the right time;

    • You have grit - you are conscientious, resilient, and dedicated to achieving excellence and driving results
