We are looking for a Technical Lead Firmware

You role:

• Transmit the values, mission and objectives of the company to the employees 
• Provide technical direction to the department
• Development tools
• Standards and best practices
• Documentation management
• Software release and maintenance process

Manage the implementation of technological solutions that meet the needs of the company:

• Respond to technical issues, propose solutions
• Be the team's point of contact for external parties
• Validate the quality of the code, propose improvements
• Control technical debt 
• Provide architecture and design guidance
• Promote collaboration and engagement between team members

Supervise the firmware department team: 

• Coach, mentor, and engage its employees to achieve departmental goals 
• Ensure that employees have the knowledge, information and tools to get the job done 
• Distribute the work of employees fairly by managing priorities and ensuring quality 
• Follows up on projects and informs those involved of progress 
• Propose solutions when deadlines cannot be met 
• When necessary, be the point of contact for requests from outside the department 
• Transmit company communications, between teams and take the pulse of the employees under his/her responsibility 
• See to the hiring of new employees and their integration; 
• Define and obtain approval of manpower requirements; 
• Conduct (participate) in employee evaluations (probation and performance); 
• Participate in the annual salary increase process; 
• Validate time sheets, approve absences and vacations; 
• Promote team spirit and a healthy work environment; 
• Participate in the application of disciplinary measures; 
• Resolve conflicts; 
• Ensures the application of and compliance with safety rules 

The candidate will be successful and have a sense of accomplishment if they possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences;
• 7+ years of experience in this field;
• An excellent multi-tasker, extremely detail-oriented and motivated to play a key role in a growing company;
• Assertive, take-charge attitude, ambitious, creative, and team player;
