We’re in search of a qualified and resourceful Sr. HR Generalist to support our team in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits.

Objectives of this Role

  • Assist in developing and executing employee procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the organization, and to improve the employee experience
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR provincial, state, and federal regulations and applicable

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional new hire experience
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
  • Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation and sales projections
  • Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, and performance management documentation
  • Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
  • Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records
  • Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval, and initiating activities
  • Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain standards conscripted by authorities
  • Collaborate with managers to evaluate employee performance and appraise their pay scale accordingly
  • Supporting managers in engaging with their employees in a positive, productive manner, in line with A&A values and guidelines.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
  • CPHR designation, or in progress
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems
  • Proven experience working effectively as a sole HR practitioner
  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
  • Knowledge of provincial, state, and federal HR laws and regulations
