Job Description

Nextech is looking for a Marketing Operations leader who will optimize and enhance our systems, data, and processes that enable marketing and sales to operate more effectively. This is the job for you if you are excited to (1) build and optimize a full funnel marketing operations infrastructure, (2) drive the success of campaigns, and (3) dive into data and derive insights to inform decisions. Owning, analyzing, and utilizing data in ways that definitively add value to KPIs and internal clients’ goals is the cornerstone to success in this role.

The Marketing Operations leader will build dynamic and automated marketing programs to drive efficiency and scalability while having a significant impact on overall company growth and revenue. The best person for this role has experience working across a variety of marketing technologies and systems to develop processes that drive leads, improve customer experiences, increase engagement, and optimize workflows.

This position can be based anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and scale the Marketing Operations function; optimize marketing automation and CRM to execute on strategic marketing and sales initiatives and provide transparency into performance and ROI metrics.
  • Constantly evaluate marketing tech stack and systems, make recommendations, and implement enhancements.
  • Own lead forecasting and partner with sales and marketing leadership to set monthly, quarterly, and annual targets across functions.
  • Develop and operate reporting dashboards to provide real-time insights into campaign performance, manage leads, track activity, ensure quality, and measure marketing and sales KPIs.
  • Support the marketing team's planning, budget management, project management, platform/tools management, and interdepartmental communications processes.
  • Build and scale a central resource solution for marketing staff (templates, tools, data, guides, et al.) and communicate updates/changes quickly and effectively.
  • Facilitate regular reporting and presentation content preparation. Establish a cadence of weekly/monthly/quarterly steps to ensure timely delivery of assets for key meetings and communications deliverables.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to document and implement processes to optimize marketing and sales systems.
  • Conduct regular analysis of marketing programs to surface key insights and recommendations to help inform our overall marketing strategy.
  • Build, execute, challenge, and enhance our lead scoring model to route and prioritize leads properly and to trigger automated nurture campaigns as appropriate.
  • Manage technical aspects and optimization of the marketing tech stack, ensuring seamless data flow among our systems and platforms.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to own, define and run the company’s Revenue Operations function.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, consulting, and/or business analytics 
  • 3+ years close to media/publisher sales operations
  • Subject matter expertise in B2B lead generation and nurture best practices
  • Exceptional organizational and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, and ability to evaluate alternative approaches while making compelling recommendations based on solid business case analysis
  • Must be fluent in Excel (including pivot tables and V lookups)
  • Expertise in Salesforce, marketing automation platforms, and a wide array of marketing software and technology
  • Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and management styles in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive, strong team player with a positive attitude who adapts well to changing needs and priorities, ambiguity, experimentation and iteration
  • Ability to pivot easily to achieve goals and deadlines
  • Budget management experience, with ability to negotiate as needed
