Content Marketing Specialist

NOTE: This is a 100% remote position in the U.S.

We need a thoughtful, creative content marketer who thinks differently. Someone who can work with what we’ve built so far but also work with us to elevate it to the next level. Someone who is a strong writer who is familiar with B2B technologies but also has a penchant for storytelling.

This role has plenty of room for growth, as it will be the second content marketing hire reporting to the Sr. Content Marketing Manager.

What you will be doing:

With direction from marketing leadership, you will conceive, create, and drive sales pipeline through content that appeals to our core audiences. This will include blog posts, website and landing page copy, social posts, digital ads, eBooks, white papers, email copy, sales collateral, and beyond — all of which will be geared to driving demand for Cloud Academy’s prospective or existing enterprise customers  and end users. This will be a chance to really broaden your experience and portfolio while impacting the continual growth of the company!

What you’ll need to succeed:

Understand Cloud Academy’s business, our customers, their challenges and opportunities. Understand this really, really well. Talk with the sales team, success team, product team, and others who are regularly in touch with our customers. Then let’s strategize about our brand and how it can evolve, and how we can tell our story to stand out with and engage this technical audience. 

-Work with your manager, the broader marketing team, and others to contribute creative ideas and approaches that leverage content to drive revenue

-Strategize on new initiatives involving campaigns and engagement efforts

-Manage your work, keeping track of projects, deadlines, and reviews

-Communicate effectively about your ideas, process, and work

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience as a content marketer with a strong writing background in a professional setting
• Able to provide a portfolio of work/writing samples, and speak to their business impact
• Experience working with a tech / SaaS organization preferred
• Creative and innovative thinking—you can distill complex concepts into simple, thoughtful, engaging designs
• Flexibility in taking on new challenges and working cross functionally
• Willing to take and provide feedback in a constructive and productive manner
• Ability to manage down, up, and across in the team and organization
• We’re fully remote, even when not in a pandemic, so experience working with remote teams is a definite plus
