Job Description

MindPoint Group, LLC has an exciting opportunity to join the finance and accounting team. As the Financial Analyst, you are responsible for analyzing and presenting MPG’s financial data, coordinating department-level budgets, and forecasts, and supporting the development/management of various financial models. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be highly-self-motivated.

What you get to do every day:

  • Prepares and coordinates financial budgets, operating plans, forecasts, and scenarios at the corporate level
  • Assists in briefing packages for executive management including reports on company performance and profitability, overhead, personnel, and cash flow
  • Develops infographics and documents insights from company-wide historical and forecast performance data to stimulate meaningful reviews by senior executives at periodic leadership meetings.
  • Inputs data into and extracts information from various information systems and databases. Acts as a “Super-User” Unanet analytics to include training users, troubleshooting system issues, and contributing to system enhancements.
  • Managing employee profiles within Unanet to ensure proper overall projections
  • WRAP Rate / Flux analysis on GL accounts
  • Calculation of Quarterly GSA Fees
  • Providing ad hoc services to multiple Finance department teams (Accounts receivables, Project Accounting, Budgets) as necessary
  • Support the team with month-end closing processes
  • Gaining knowledge of department policies and procedures to create efficiencies as well as accurate and timely results
  • Collaborating across functions within the company to promote information sharing and analysis
     

Qualifications

What skills do you need?

  • U.S Citizenship required
  • 2-4 years of Accounting/Finance/Business experience with a government contractor
  • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and strong experience with (T&M) Time and Materials, (FFP) Fixed Price contracts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated intermediate user-level proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Unanet or Microsoft Navision
  • Ability to quickly comprehend processes and learn systems and tools
  • Ability to execute data mining and analysis and present those findings
  • Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communications skills

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position.  The salary range for this position is typically $60-85k.  This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
