Job Description

We are looking for a Secret - cleared Project Executive to work on a long-term engagement over with our Canadian Federal Government clients.

The Project Executive will be responsible for performing, but not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Manage one or more Project leads who may each be responsible for a component of the project and its associated Project team;
  • Define and document project objectives, determine budget requirements;
  • Meet with other organizational executives to ensure all organizational (internal and external) stakeholders are committed and moving forward on the project and organizational goals.
  • Resolve issues related to the project;
  • Prepare plans, charts, tables, and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; work with a variety of project management tools;
  • Project sign-off.

The deliverables for the Project Executive can include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strategies;
  • High-level project plan;
  • Project detailed cost estimate;
  • Treasury Board Submissions;
  • Communication plans;
  • Resource requirements analysis and monitoring plans;
  • Fit-gap analysis;
  • Stakeholder engagement strategies;
  • Project plans;
  • Presentation decks;
  • Lessons learned;
  • Performance metrics;
  • Status reports – Weekly to Project Authority.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

We must demonstrate that the Project Executive has at least ten (10) years, or one hundred twenty (120) months, of Project Management or Change Management experience where they conducted at least three (3) of the following tasks when leading complex transformational initiatives:

 

  1. Complex Enterprise Resource Planning software, Enterprise COTS or similar software implementations;
  2. Software Development;
  3. Advisory role to senior executive capacity;
  4. Managing more than two (2) project managers;
  5. Risk management;
  6. Concept of Operations (ConOps);
  7. System Implementation Plans

We must demonstrate that the Project Executive has led at least two (2) projects in either of the following areas within the last five (5) years, or sixty (60) months:

  1. Enterprise Resource Planning software

    OR
     
  2. Enterprise COTS implementation or upgrade

The Project Executive must have worked on each of the referenced projects for a minimum of six (6) consecutive months.

 

Additional/Nice-to-have Requirements:

The Project Executive should have ANY of the following recognized professional certifications. Candidates with several of the following certifications will be considered first:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP);
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM);
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP);
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP);
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile
  • Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP);
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMIPBA);
  • PMI Risk Management Professional (PMIRMP);
  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP);
  • Prince2 Practitioner;
  • Prince2 Agile Practitioner;
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner;
  • Portfolio, Programme and Projects Offices (P3O) Practitioner;
  • Management of Portfolios (MoP) Practitioner;
  • Management of Risk (MoR) Practitioner.

The Project Executive demonstrates that they have a current and valid SAP Certification.
