Job Description

Integrated Drug Discovery, DiscoveryOne, brings together the breadth of functional expertise across the entire Eurofins Discovery organization and combines a wealth experienced drug discovery and program management expertise to design, implement and deliver from idea to candidate on behalf of the client.  In combining all the chemistry, biology, ADME and pharmacology capabilities of the multiple sites making up Eurofins Discovery, and using our extensive drug discovery expertise and experience, as well as exceptional program management services, it both brings a higher value offering to the client. The virtual project team of Scientific Project Leads and Program Managers, drives the project internally and externally (with client) to a successful conclusion and hopefully project renewal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Core team member within DiscoveryOne, responsible for managing multiple projects across a diverse early drug discovery portfolio
  • Determine and implement optimal internal processes to build the DiscoveryOne infrastructure
  • Coordination responsibilities include - collecting information from DiscoveryOne client, project leaders and internal technical subject matter experts from various Eurofins locations to assist with generation and finalization of project proposals/statement of works (SOWs) (presentations and written documents). This includes but not limited to: Project/study objectives, expected deliverables, etc.
  • Individual will facilitate investigations across Eurofins Discovery sites confirming technical feasibility, turnaround time (TAT), pricing, milestones, models, targets, etc for project proposal content.
  • Ensure consistency of SOWs with client MSAs.
  • Manages project flow from project initiation through closeout, ensuring contractual adherence
  • Communicates customer requirements to Project Team
  • Work with pricing team and business unit managers to confirm pricing proposal for each DiscoveryOne project
  • Serves as a key point of contact for new and existing customers.
  • Act as primary point of contact between global scientific operations teams to adjust project proposal
  • Act as primary point of contact for coordinating logistics between site specific compound management and operations team to meet TAT requirements
  • Acts as the liaison between site study directors and the scientific project lead to coordinate posting data for client review
  • Maintains accurate client databases and provides backlog financial forecast for studies
  • Liaise with client services to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess: 

  • Ability to speak effectively before customers, team members, and across organizational lines; conveying information in a clear, concise manner appropriate to the level of the audience.
  • Ability to write and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, instructions, and contracts and agreements with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information is available.
  • Knowledge of integrated drug discovery process and bringing drugs to market in Pharma or Biotech 
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software (ie.AX)
  • Experience in compound management
  • Proficient knowledge of invoicing and ordering using AX or equivalent ERP system.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to communicate to effectively and efficiently to coordinate processes across the globe

Basic Minimum Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or more than 6 years
  • related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven Project Management experience and strong business acumen, with excellent follow-up and close-out skills. 
  • Experience with transforming failures into "Lessons Learned" to improve for future projects similar in nature
