Job Description

Bring your passion for delivering HR Technology to Western Digital.

 

Western Digital is seeking a strong data driven Sr. HRIS Manager to lead the global HRIS team to automate, integrate and configure core HR process in Workday. Reporting to Head of Global HR Operations and HRIS, this individual will play a key leadership role to define how HRIS can be optimized to provide an amazing employee experience that supports our journey to become a high impact HR organization

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Lead the continuous evaluation and evolution of HR Systems that include Workday, global payroll systems etc.
  • Manage and scale a global team of HRIS members to help define and drive overall HRIS roadmap.
  • Mentor and innovatively coach the global team to develop expertise and drive process and configuration excellence.
  • Effectively work with the team to prioritize work and establish a strong partnership with IT to ensure clear governance in how value is delivered to the end users with the goal of providing an amazing employee experience.
  • Work with COEs to translate business needs into projects, including prioritization, scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Thinking about quality of business processes as well as data quality and integrity by ensuring a regular audit cadence in coordination with the People Analytics team.
  • Actively identify & resolve issues or opportunities for enhanced user experience and other HRIS integrations.
  • Develop, document, and maintain all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance.
  • Partner with cross-functional team members and IT team members on HRIS related issues/enhancements/queries.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations team to provide Tier 2 support for Workday and other HR technology matters via the ServiceNow scoped application for HR.
  • Manage staffing and maintaining a best-in-class HRIS team.

Qualifications

  • Masters or bachelor’s degree in HR or MIS (Information systems) or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience working with HRIS systems and +5 years managing an HRIS team. 
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience with Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits Security and Reporting modules. Experience managing Workday Absence is a plus.
  • Experience working with multiple global Payroll providers and working knowledge of ServiceNow scoped application for HR is a plus.
  • Experience managing HRIS changes/implementations to support M&A.
  • Out of the box thinker and a hands-on Workday and ServiceNow expert continuously seeking ways to improve and optimize use of HRIS platforms.
  • Detail and process-oriented leader, able to partner with non-technical customers and partners to understand user needs and translate needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience with multiple Workday implementations in a global environment is preferred.
  • Able to effectively partner with IT and non-technical customers to understand user needs and translate needs into technical process and configuration requirements.
  • Strong problem solving/analytical skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience in a fast-growing, technology organization, preferably SaaS product delivery.
  • Work in a dynamic global organization by balancing multiple priorities. 
  • Able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams using good judgement.
  • Experience working a public company and familiarity with SOX compliance a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and managing data.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
