Job Description

We are looking for a forward-thinking, creative Copywriter to, first and foremost, provide excellent copy and, second, work with our internal team. You work well in a collaborative environment and can contribute revolutionary ideation and rapid execution in a fast-paced environment. As the Copywriter, you will provide exceptional copy for conversion-driven direct mail, emails, landing pages, display ads, social channels, and video—not to mention any ad hoc requests that come your way.

Responsibilities

  • Manage primary responsibility for the voice of each brand, ensuring all creative ideas are developed using the right tone
  • Infuse the brand values into all copy and excite, educate, and engage the market
  • Work in partnership with an art director to form a creative team that executes work off of creative briefs that are provided
  • Familiarize yourself with your client's products, the target audience, and their competitors' activities
  • Understand strategic positionings and marketing initiatives
  • Develop fresh, modern creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the art director
  • Present ideas to the creative director for approval and development and then to your clients
  • Learn and apply best practices to maximize response
  • Write clear, smart, original copy through the iterations of the project
  • Understand the role that data plays in understanding audiences, media choices, and messaging
  • Revise or redevelop ads or campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director, account team, or clients
  • Develop copy ideas and solutions that are appropriate for each channel (e.g., direct mail vs. Facebook)
  • Help modify/make changes to existing work as requested by the clients
  • Oversee campaigns through the development stage to completion, including making edits, facilitating routing, and proofreading
  • Check-in with print production and digital development teams to make sure ideas are executable and on budget

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in an agency setting
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Advertising or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with partners.
  • Able to uphold quality standards of style and grammar to produce high-quality edited content.
  • Effective at time management, prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight or changing timelines.
  • Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
