Job Description
Etsy is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Help-Me-Find Product Engineering organization.
Etsy is looking for a tech-savvy manager who can work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Design and Analytics on our Search Experience. You’ll lead a team of Software Engineers who build industry leading solutions to help our buyers discover items from Etsy’s unique and diverse listings inventory for their personalized shopping missions.

This is a full-time role based in Brooklyn, NY or remote. Etsy offers three different work modes to meet the variety of needs and preferences of our team: Flex mode for candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location 2+ times per week, Remote mode, and Office-based mode. Qualifications
About the Role
You will be responsible for leading a Search Experience squad of full stack engineers focused on developing search product features and maintaining search page health.
You will serve as a coach, mentor and technical advisor to your direct reports.
You will be responsible for defining and executing your team’s long-term technical strategy in collaboration with Product Management.
Foster a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous delivery on your teams.
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams to facilitate project planning and execution.
Build a strong peer network with other managers at Etsy to increase your organizational context and support the professional growth and projects of your team.
About You
You are product oriented and strive to understand your customers and keep them at the center of the solutions you build.
You have a passion for building data related products and understand good systems design.
You are an experienced leader who brings both technical acuity and leadership skills to build a high-performing team.
You promote growth and learning on the team - you put our engineers first.
You enjoy thinking about the implications of your work on end users. You are comfortable collaborating with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and Designers to ensure that you’re delivering impactful product features.
Bonus points if you’ve worked on e-commerce search experiences
You have experience managing teams delivering projects on large scale web applications
