Job Description

BizOps is short for “Business Operations”. Akin to how a Sales Operations team or Supply Chain Operations team exist to improve the performance of their associated team, BizOps exists to improve the performance and value of the Cash App business as a whole. On the Cash App rocket, we see ourselves as responsible for 3 types of work:

  1. [Business Analytics] Acting as the GPS and Speedometer. Identifying and prioritizing opportunities across the Cash App business using data.

  2. [BizOps] Building new sections of the rocket. Actualizing opportunities through internal and/or external partnership.

  3. [BizOps] Putting out fires. Managing special situations that no existing team is made to handle.

On Cash App, unlike many other companies, product and business teams are the same organization meaning both product and business development have shared objectives and close coordination.

Role Description:

As part of our growing BizOps organization, we’re looking to hire our founding Business Analytics Manager to lead work on how we define and measure success overall for Cash App and partner with our Product and Business leadership team to identify and prioritize opportunities and risks.

You will:

  • Own the framework for and narrative of business performance across Cash App’s suite of products that serve our international base of customers. Evolving our understanding of and visibility into Cash App performance as the business changes. Distilling the complexity of what is happening across Cash App into key takeaways and recommendations.

  • Be a direct partner to our senior leadership team to steer Cash App towards business opportunities and away from business risks. Working with cross-functional teams across Cash App to turn insights into execution.

  • Work with our Business Intelligence and data teams to identify and build the requisite data infrastructure to build visibility into the key areas that affect Cash App’s business.

Qualifications

You have:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in fast-paced and analytical roles in growth, analytics, business operations, management consulting, or finance; preferably with experience at a high-growth tech company.

  • Advanced level SQL abilities (Required) and experience with data visualization tools (Snowflake, Airflow/ETL tools, and Tableau experience strongly preferred).

  • Experience with setting metrics and KPIs for large, complex machines.

  • Have strong quantitative and analytical abilities, including experience with business modeling and statistical tests.

  • Have a track-record of demonstrating an extraordinary level of ownership and profit impact-orientation.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. You can frame and distill complex information appropriately for different audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with people outside your immediate team and get things done through influence rather than authority.
