Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our technical operations team. Our Goal is to improve the operation and performance of the public sector enterprise environment we manage for our customer. While our goal is to improve we also need to recover quickly from incidents, your diagnostic skills will be truly appreciated in this large environment. This role is focused around securing, sustaining and improving the Services supporting a 28,000 end user environment, your duties will include:

  • Support, maintain and improve an extensive server platform & related applications, across multiple domains and national locations   
  • Utilise and improve enterprise-wide monitoring platforms,
  • Update and create system documentation,
  • Tuning system performance,
  • Deploy system wide software
  • Work with the respective teams and business technology groups to administer, support and manage existing infrastructure deployments & functions.

Please be aware that this role will require involve on-call/weekend work with a roster. 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Essential

  • Working experience in Server, desktop & active directory administration and support in a medium-to-large scale environment, preferably in the public sector.
  • Working experience with Cisco switching and Networking
  • A comparable amount of experience of administering a multi-domain/Active Directory user environment
  • Active Directory and other related technologies such as DHCP, DNS, AAD, ADFS, etc.
  • Enterprise Compute, Storage and Backup experience

Desirable

  • Linux management particularly RHEL and satellite
  • Experience with
    • SCCM, SCOM, SCOO, SharePoint,
    • Splunk,
    • CommVault
    • McAfee suite
    • Virtualization technologies including VMware management suite
  • ITIL Foundation certified

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally have a current Baseline security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
