Job Description

  • Lead pricing by providing cost modeling, pricing risk identification and mitigation techniques, profit analysis, price, and competitive business analyses, and cost and price proposal development for the company
  • Work closely with department leaders and proposal teams to guide the greater proposal team to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates with appropriately scaled BOE for seamless integration with our price submission on a wide range of proposals
  • Drive collaboration in developing and accessing pricing targets, estimating, risk mitigation, and business strategies, reviewing and analyzing key opportunities, and assessing and suggesting proposal strategies to achieve pricing and business objectives, compliance with requirements, and preferred and refined bid strategy
  • Drive the development of leading-edge government or commercial type proposal practices and tools within the pricing team and help develop best practices for teamwide policies and processes, including analyses for cost estimating, price points, competitiveness, solicitations, risk, tradeoffs, and optimization
  • Assess and recommend strategies in the context of reseller agreements, contract vehicles, teaming and subcontract agreements, and proposals to government and commercial clients, monitor pricing performance for competitiveness and business performance, and resolve or escalate problems that may impact competitiveness, performance, or execution
  • Support proposals, conduct price and cost analysis and negotiate price and price-related terms
  • Perform cost/price analysis of subcontractor bids and proposals
  • Develops key pricing strategies and compliant pricing documents for successful pricing evaluations and contract awards
  • Perform salary surveys and other data collection required to develop appropriate pricing for various labor categories in different geographic areas
  • Price and/or cost volume lead responsible for understanding and communicating RFP requirements, developing and presenting cost and price briefings, pricing proposals, analyzing cost data, and recommending pricing approach to upper management
  • Ensure price proposals are prepared in accordance with FAR and Corporate Disclosure Statement.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with pricing in the federal government environment, including pricing strategies, structures, tools, and communications, including competitive price point analysis and aspects of negotiation, accounting practice, contracts administration, or project management
  • Experience with leading pricing various contract types across various contract vehicles
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Experience in all aspects of government and commercial pricing and contracts, including writing pricing volumes and reporting for existing government contracts
  • Experience leading/developing pricing data call requests to teaming partners
  • Ability to counsel proposal teams on price strategy based on historical expertise
  • BA or BS degree
  • Proficiency in understanding government RFPs, RFQ’s and other solicitations
  • Ability to read and analyze financials and develop wrap rates
  • Strong ability to work independently and in a proactive manner
