Job Description

MindPoint Group is seeking a forward-thinking and self-motivated Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to evaluate clients’ security architecture and recommend new tools, integrations, and operational processes to enhance their security posture. This exciting role requires an appetite for learning, superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture.

  • Stay abreast of evolving federal cybersecurity and network security legislation, mandates, industry guidance, or other requirements, and advise clients on how to achieve compliance
  • Maintain awareness of innovative technology and tools available in the cybersecurity marketplace, most notably SIEM, EDR, Zero Trust, and Email security tools
  • Participate in vendor briefings and provide clients with options analysis on vendor capabilities
  • Evaluate client’s existing cybersecurity capabilities, including architecture, tooling, and operations
  • Conduct gap analyses and provide recommendations to customers on how to enhance their cybersecurity posture
  • Recommend technologies and integrations to meet customer needs for new requirements or modernization of existing systems
  • Provide technical advisory support to operational teams that are deploying, configuring, and maintaining security tools
  • Prepare and present analysis, in the form of briefings and/or reports, to government leads and managers

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ten (10) years of cybersecurity expertise
  • Experience providing cybersecurity technical advisory support to federal senior executives
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise security architectures for large, complex federal agencies
  • Experience with supporting managed security services or cybersecurity shared services programs
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal Zero Trust Architecture requirements, Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program requirements, Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) 3.0 guidelines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills that include the ability to describe highly technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Relevant network security or cybersecurity related certifications, such as CISSP
